By visiting saltslabco.com or buying something from us, you agree to be bound by these terms. They apply to everyone who uses the site, including browsers, customers, and anyone who submits content to it. Read them before you use the site; if you do not agree, do not use it.

Online store terms

You confirm you are at least the age of majority where you live. You will not use our products for an illegal or unauthorized purpose, and you will not transmit a worm, virus, or other destructive code. Breaking any of these terms ends your access to the site immediately.

General conditions

We can refuse service to anyone, for any reason, at any time. Your content, apart from payment details, may travel over the internet unencrypted; card information is always encrypted in transit. You may not copy, resell, or otherwise reproduce any part of the service without our written permission.

Accuracy of information

We are not responsible if content on this site is inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Everything here is for general information. We can change it at any time with no obligation to update anything specific, so check back if something matters to your order.

Prices, orders, and payment

Prices and availability are shown before checkout and can change without notice. We can modify or discontinue any part of the service at any time and are not liable for doing so. An order is accepted once Shopify confirms payment and issues an order number, not before.

We can refuse or limit any order, including orders that share an account, card, or shipping address with another order. Keep your account and payment details current so we can complete a purchase and reach you if we need to.

Products and natural variation

Salt plates are cut stone, not a manufactured product. Color, banding, dimensions, and mass vary within the tolerances listed on each product page, and a photograph cannot represent every plate exactly. We can limit sales by person, region, or jurisdiction, and discontinue a product at any time.

Safe use and assumption of risk

A salt plate can weigh 9 pounds and reach 500 F. Follow the published temperature ramp rather than heating a plate quickly. Do not move a hot plate without heat resistant gloves, and keep it on a stable, dry surface and away from children while it is hot. Using a plate outside these instructions is at your own risk.

Third-party tools and links

We may give you access to third-party tools we do not control, provided as-is with no warranty; using them is at your own risk. The site may also link to third-party sites we are not affiliated with. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices, so check their own terms before you rely on them.

Comments and submissions

If you send us a comment, review, or suggestion, you agree we can use it without restriction, and without owing you compensation or confidentiality. You are responsible for what you submit; it must not be unlawful, abusive, or infringe anyone else's rights. Anything you submit through the store is otherwise handled under our Privacy Policy.

Errors and corrections

Product descriptions, pricing, and shipping charges can occasionally contain a typographical error. We can correct it, and cancel an order affected by it, at any time without prior notice.

Prohibited uses

You may not use the site for anything unlawful, to infringe someone else's rights, to harass or discriminate against anyone, to submit false information, to transmit a virus, to collect other people's data without consent, to spam or phish, or to scrape or otherwise interfere with the site's security. Doing any of this ends your access.

We do not promise the site or service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or without errors. Everything is provided "as is" and "as available." Salt Slab Co and our employees and agents are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or a product.

Indemnification

You agree to cover reasonable claims, damages, and legal fees Salt Slab Co faces because you broke these terms or someone else's rights.

Termination and the rest of these terms

Either of us can end this agreement at any time; we may do so without notice if you break these terms. If one part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, and Returns policy, are the whole agreement between you and us and replace anything discussed earlier.
